What are Green Beans?

Green coffee beans are unroasted coffee beans that remain completely raw. They are the raw seeds of coffee cherries that have been separated or “processed” and have yet to be roasted

Frequently asked questions

Where do you get your beans?

We buy from select distributors who ethically purchase green beans from around the world. All the beans are purchased from estates, coops, and local farms that promote fair trade and practices.

Do you offer Fresh Roasted Coffee in K-cups?

Yes! And we only roast enough coffee for the K-cups ordered. This is only possible by using a premium one-way valved iFillCup™Deep Brewing™ pod that lets the freshly roasted coffee "degas", otherwise fresh coffee in these pods would explode!

What does "Degas" mean?

Degassing is the release of gases from roasted coffee. When you roast coffee, gases – including a lot of carbon dioxide – form inside the bean. A lot of these gases are released in the first few days after roasting. About 40% of the gas formed in your coffee beans is released within 24 hours, but it will still take about 2 to 14 days for the appropriate degas process to be achieved.

How soon can you ship Fresh Roasted Coffee?

We generally ship our freshly roasted coffee within 24 hours of receiving your order. Sometimes the same day! Because of the "degassing" time needed this is only possible by using one-way valved bags for all coffee orders...whole bean, ground, or K-cups. They actually "degas" while in transit to your door step. Now that's Fresh!
